France
France produces wine in several regions and boasts about 800,000 hectares (over 2 million acres) of vineyards. Typically, the French produce between 50–60 million hectolitres of wine per year, which equates to nearly 8 billion bottles! and means that France produces more wine than any other country (followed by Italy) and, next to Spain, has the largest amount of land given over to viticulture.
